What I believe to be the difference between an effective paper from a mediocre one is the order of thoughts, sentence structure and sequence of events. What I mean by order of thoughts is that all the ideas and thoughts happen in order and happen smoothly. Sentence structure is extremely important in paper.it helps make the ideas, thoughts, and topic make sense. Lastly, the sequence if events helps strengthen a paper. And it will help all the ideas to flow together.

What i find the most difficult is the order of thoughts. In my writing I tend to have my ideas spread out and all over the place in my writing. but, what I find to be easy for me is the sentence structure. In my writing my sentences are well thought out, but usually all over the place.

What I think is the purpose of taking english 101 is to review and go over how to write formally and to help us to understand what we are reading. There are many different ways to write, and to fully understanding all these different forms of writing takes a lot of review and practice. And in this class, that is what we are trying to accomplish. However, that is just the general idea. My personal opinion of english 101 is that I dislike writing and english because it is not one of my strengths.What I would like to get out of this class is how to cite sources in my writing and how to back-up my topic my evidence. Also to help me understand texts that I am reading. However, I will give this class my best and make the most of it.
